22 Jul Oracle bows SD-WAN cloud orchestration to integrate and automate multiple clouds
Oracle announced on Tuesday the launch of its Oracle SD-WAN Orchestration Cloud (OSOC), which runs on its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. OSOC, which is part of the Oracle SD-WAN portfolio, was designed to integrate multiple clouds while also managing traffic across networks.
Oracle SD-WAN Orchestration Cloud helps enterprises deploy, automate and operate sophisticated networks that connect to services that reside either within their facility or in a public cloud. With OSOC, enterprises no longer need to design, build and maintain their own high availability SD-WAN cores at their data centers, according to Oracle, which saves time and capex.
Oracle SD-WAN Orchestration Cloud can be deployed on premise at a customer’s site or virtually in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure clouds. Organizations are spreading their data, workloads and software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications across private and public clouds to ensure that they can access their data from anywhere. In addition, the coronavirus pandemic has led to a dramatic uptick in employees that are working from home or “working from anywhere.”
