05 Feb Sejong Telecom Selects Snet SWAN Powered By 128 Technology For Managed SD-WAN Service
Leading network integrator to offer Sejong Telecom software-centric SD-WAN service
BURLINGTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–128 Technology, the leader in Session Smart™ Routing, today announced that Sejong Telecom has selected Snet Systems, a leading network integrator headquartered in Seoul, Korea, to offer a highly reliable and secure managed SD-WAN service, called SWAN, powered by 128 Technology’s Session Smart™ Router. Snet Systems and Sejong Telecom, a key telecommunication carrier with a nationwide optical communication network in Korea, will collaborate to provide enterprise customers with faster, more reliable access, traffic exchanges and lower costs in the cloud.
Snet Systems will provide its SWAN solution to Sejong Telecom, which will offer Snet its next generation communication infrastructure to explore new business opportunities. The two companies will cooperate to provide sales and technical support. They will also collaborate on joint domestic projects where Sejong Telecom participates as a new service.
Snet Systems announced in October 2019 it would join the 128 Technology Solution Partner Program, which enables service providers to create new revenue streams by leveraging 128 Technology’s 128T Networking Platform. Snet and Sejong Telecom will gain several key benefits, including better connectivity for mission-critical applications, enhanced security based on a “Zero-Trust” model, reduced operations costs from eliminating firewalls and VPNs and by reducing cloud rental costs, reasonable service pricing and better network functionality for edge locations.
“We’re excited to partner with Sejong Telecom, which has an excellent communication infrastructure,” said Hyung-Woo Kim, executive director, Financial Public Infrastructure, Snet Systems. “The combination of Sejong Telecom’s communication infrastructure, in addition to our SWAN solution, will result in a powerful offering to enhance our customers’ productivity, bandwidth efficiency and profitability.”
“Leveraging Snet’s SWAN solution, powered by 128 Technology, allows us to provide high-quality communications services that help organizations run their business more effectively,” said Hyo-Sang Kang, head of telecommunication, Sejong Telecom. “Enterprises looking for an SD-WAN service that’s reliable, secure, offers enhanced bandwidth and is built for the cloud, need look no further.”
“128 Technology’s agile WAN connectivity is built for today’s cloud-focused business applications and services. It includes enhanced performance and security compared to competing hardware-based approaches to SD-WAN,” said Kaz Kuroda, Managing Director APAC, 128 Technology. “Partnering with 128 Technology will help Snet and Sejong Telecom future-proof their networks with a truly software-centric approach to SD-WAN.”
